Facebook hashtags: How to use them effectively?

In June 2013 Facebook announced the introduction of hashtags on the social platform

"Starting today, the hashtags will be clickable on Facebook. Like other services such as Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr or Pinterest, the hashtags on Facebook (...) "

What are hashtags?

It is the now famous words preceded by the pound sign (#) which have the function of aggregators. Each hashtag creates an archive of content related to a specific topic.
They are used to contextualise content and help people find information on a specific topic, without getting lost in the sea of content on the web.

Facebook hashtag: yes or no?

Each platform is a unique and different ecosystem from the others. What works on one platform, even quite well, is not necessarily as successful on another social network. This is valid for both strategic communication and content and equally for use.
On Twitter, the birthplace of hashtags, these are normally used by those who publish content. They are used with a philosophy that I would define "few but good": very few are used (maximum 3) but chosen with great care. This is because on this platform the nature of the hashtag or the use of specific topics as a container is fully expressed.
A similar thing happens on Instagram: even here the hashtags have the same function although they are not always used in the most correct and functional way possible.
The use of hashtags on Facebook, however, is not functional. Overuse tends to decrease interaction with people.
Don't you also find it very annoying #read a post #pienozeppodiquestihashtag?
As you can see, they limit the attention and compromise the usability of the content, making reading very difficult.

How to use hashtags on Facebook?

Their use is not totally to be avoided: like everything, in the right contexts and in the right ways they are very effective.
Do not enter more than one or two of them;
Do not use those that are too long or complex to read
Use those related to the trend of the moment (if the topic can be interesting for your communication)

Use hashtags to enclose content related to an event

Use hashtags as an aggregator of information in groups. This is the optimal use of hashtags on Facebook because it is the most effective method for organizing content: it allows administrators to monitor questions and answers, and participants can easily find the topics of interest.
Don't use Instagram hashtags. You often come across pages that post the same content they created on Instagram. If you are also used to doing it, for heaven's sake, at least remove the string of hashtags!

Why has installing a video surveillance system in your store become essential?

Delinquency has been on the increase for decades. Whether in all sectors, it is probably in the area of armed robberies, burglaries and robberies, that this is most fully expressed. This increase in delinquency is accompanied by an evolution in dying and an intensification of exchanges, transactions and therefore malicious acts or system failures. In this context, a trader who must keep accurate accounts, who cannot afford to undergo this negative development, must equip himself with a video surveillance system to keep his activity away from these dangers.

The increase in the number of scams

Armed robberies or robberies are not necessarily in the style of the old robberies of American gangsters. Subterfuges are found by increasingly organized and equipped groups. Be sure to monitor your delivery space, your storage space, and don't overlook any blind spots.

Robberies committed on a larger scale

Robberies are today committed by organized groups, which have significant resources and which stop at nothing. These groups are used to this type of practice and are difficult to deter and stop. As the robberies are no longer carried out by isolated robbers, the experience of armed groups can only be countered by an effective video surveillance camera in Chicago.

Increasingly demanding insurance

With the increase in the number of malicious acts, insurance companies are raising their standards, their prices but also their requirements. To be able to claim good care after a disaster, today you need to be very well protected, that no security breach has been detected, and that you are equipped with a high-performance video surveillance system and adapted to your needs.

How to prepare your video surveillance system for the winter?

Despite the mild temperatures of this month of October, autumn takes precedence over summer and brings the first frosts to dawn in some regions. These frosts herald a winter that is putting a strain on video surveillance systems. This period is dangerous for them because of the very low temperature, the wind, the rains, but also because of the drop in vigilance that you give it. In addition, burglars do not experience a drop in activity during the winter period. Here are 5 tips so that your winter does not reduce the efficiency of your video surveillance system.

 Examine the optics

Before winter, go around your cameras to detect if the lenses are not scratched or broken. If they are split, humidity will sound the death knell for your protection. A weakened glass will also resist less to the attacks of the wind and what it projects.

 Check your protective cases

The protective boxes of your cameras represent the first barrier against the weather. Your boxes must be in perfect condition, correctly positioned on the cameras and fully waterproof against dust and water.

Walk around your power cables

The power cables of your cameras suffer a lot in winter because of the permanent humidity. Your outdoor cameras are particularly sensitive to this power problem. Check that the cables are in good condition and that the protective sheaths are not split anywhere.

Check the inside of each case

Protective cases are often damaged by insects, rodents or even birds. Before winter, take care that none has been visited and therefore damaged by any intruder, and make sure that no rodent has planned to hibernate there.

Install a camera resistant to very cold temperatures

The best way to guarantee maximum and permanent protection during the winter is to install a weatherproof and extreme temperature resistant camera in the most vulnerable place.

How to assess the degree of protection required for your home?

Your home certainly needs a video surveillance system, no matter the risk of burglary or theft it faces. Today, each home is a potential prey for burglars who no longer seek only to enter the homes of the wealthiest, to steal money and jewelry. This new type of burglary is large-scale and is therefore based on the number of burglary homes. Each home therefore becomes a potential target for burglars who are better and better equipped. It is therefore necessary to assess the degree of vulnerability of your home in order to be able to respond to it with a sufficient degree of protection.

 What neighborhood?

It is not the neighborhood you should be afraid of, but rather the lack of neighborhood. Burglars take advantage of alleys, courtyards, each dead end or little-used and not very visible way. They are also looking for entry doors that are not directly visible through a neighbor's window. So you should pay attention to these details, even if you live in a dense urban area.

 What lighting?

When you have an isolated house, the night becomes a considerable and difficult to control enemy. You must make sure that you illuminate your site sufficiently, so that it is visible from the nearest road. You can also opt for aisles lit by LED lamp paths, which have a strong illuminating power on night silhouettes.

 Which access point?

Although it may seem obvious, you must ensure the quality of your front door and the capacity it will have to resist a burglary attempt. It must be equipped with at least three anchor points, either through a single lock or through 3 different locks. The protection offered by your front door will also determine the quality of the coverage of your claim by insurance.

How to choose a camera according to its exposure to light?

A camera works on the basis of light outside its system, which allows it to accurately reflect the colors and shapes of what it films. Whether it films in black and white or in color, it must recover a predetermined minimum of light, in order to provide images which will be usable in the context of your video protection. This brightness must be measured before a camera is chosen for such or such room or such or such role. This article allows you to choose your camera according to the brightness under which it will evolve in the area in which you want to install it.
